Vascular Ultrasound
Vascular Ultrasound
A Sub-Specialty Of General Ultrasound
Vascular ultrasound is a specialised form of ultrasound, performed by experienced and highly specialised vascular sonographers using general ultrasound imaging, colour and spectral doppler techniques.
The Doppler Centre uses ‘state of the art equipment’ to diagnose vascular pathology, monitor disease progression and perform surveillance scans after interventional procedures and surgery.
Ultrasound is non-invasive and uses no radiation, just sound waves which are sent into the body to create images of soft tissue and flowing blood.
Our examination results are presented using computer generated anatomical diagrams and worksheets. A standardised report with ultrasound findings and concluding with interpretation and clinical recommendations by our Vascular Surgeon, Dr Pankaj Jha.
